Job Summary:
MwaAfrika Technologies is seeking a passionate and ambitious law graduate to join our dynamic Risk, Commercial & Legal team as a Trainee Legal Associate. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment and launch your legal career in a thriving company.
Remote Responsibilities:
- Assist the Risk, Commercial & Legal departments with daily legal tasks and projects.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on legal issues, regulations, and case law.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures.
- Manage and track legal matters, including litigation support and insurance claims.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to business units and functional teams.
- Stay informed about current legal trends and developments relevant to the company’s operations.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, external attorneys, and regulators.
- Maintain accurate and complete legal documentation and records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
- Excellent academic record with a strong understanding of legal principles and frameworks.
- Keen interest in corporate and commercial law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Strong research skills and proficiency in legal research databases.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- No prior legal experience is required, but enthusiasm and eagerness to learn are essential.
